Kala Chana Chicken pulao:-
Ingredients :-
â–ªBasmati Rice...........1 kg (soaked for 1/2 hours)
â–ªBoiled Black Chickpeas.........3 cups
(Kala channa)
â–ªChicken boneless ..............1 kg (cube cut)
â–ªOil....................1 cup
â–ªGinger Garlic paste ........1 tbsp
â–ªOnion........2 medium sized
â–ªTomatoes......3 medium sized
â–ªSalt.............6 tsp or as your taste
(Namak)
â–ªRed chilli powder.......1 tsp
(Lal mirch)
â–ªRed chilli flakes........2 tsp
(dhara mirch/kuti lal mirch)
â–ªCoriander powder.......2 tsp
(Pissa dhania)
â–ªTurmeric powder........1/2 tsp
(haldi)
â–ªWhole spices powder.......2 tsp
(Garam masala)
â–ªTamarind.............1 tbsp
(Imli )
â–ªClove (laung)...........8 pcs
â–ªBlack cardamom pods .........2 pcs
(bari elaichi)
â–ªBay leaf (tez paat)............ 2
â–ªStar anise....... 3
(Badayan ka phool )
â–ªGreen chillies...........4
â–ªWater...........8 cups
â–ªYellow color (optional)
Direction:-
▪︎Firstly Wash rice and soak it in water for half hour & set aside.
▪︎Heat oil in a pan , Add cloves, black cardamom pods , green cardamom , star anise and fry for a few mins.
▪︎Add onion and fry until it turns golden brown.
▪︎Add ginger garlic paste and mix it.
▪︎Add Chicken boneless in it and fry for a few mins until color changes.
▪︎Now add tomatoes, salt, red chilli powder ,red chilli flakes ,coriander powder ,turmeric powder ,whole spices powder and cook until oil separates & tomatoes soften.
▪︎Then add boiled black chickpeas in it and cook for 2 to 3 mins.
▪︎Add water ,boil it then cook for 5 more mins .
▪︎Add soaked rice in it and cook on high flame until water reduces.
▪︎Now add green chillies and yellow food color.
▪︎Cover and steam for 20 mins on low flame.
▪︎Yummy kala channa chicken pulao is ready to eat and served hot.
▪︎You can also serve it with salad and green chatni.
