Kala Chana Chicken pulao:-
Ingredients :-
▪Basmati Rice...........1 kg (soaked for 1/2 hours)
▪Boiled Black Chickpeas.........3 cups
(Kala channa)
▪Chicken boneless ..............1 kg (cube cut)
▪Oil....................1 cup
▪Ginger Garlic paste ........1 tbsp
▪Onion........2 medium sized
▪Tomatoes......3 medium sized
▪Salt.............6 tsp or as your taste
(Namak)
▪Red chilli powder.......1 tsp
(Lal mirch)
▪Red chilli flakes........2 tsp
(dhara mirch/kuti lal mirch)
▪Coriander powder.......2 tsp
(Pissa dhania)
▪Turmeric powder........1/2 tsp
(haldi)
▪Whole spices powder.......2 tsp
(Garam masala)
▪Tamarind.............1 tbsp
(Imli )
▪Clove (laung)...........8 pcs
▪Black cardamom pods .........2 pcs
(bari elaichi)
▪Bay leaf (tez paat)............ 2
▪Star anise....... 3
(Badayan ka phool )
▪Green chillies...........4
▪Water...........8 cups
▪Yellow color (optional)
Direction:-
▪︎Firstly Wash rice and soak it in water for half hour & set aside.
▪︎Heat oil in a pan , Add cloves, black cardamom pods , green cardamom , star anise and fry for a few mins.
▪︎Add onion and fry until it turns golden brown.
▪︎Add ginger garlic paste and mix it.
▪︎Add Chicken boneless in it and fry for a few mins until color changes.
▪︎Now add tomatoes, salt, red chilli powder ,red chilli flakes ,coriander powder ,turmeric powder ,whole spices powder and cook until oil separates & tomatoes soften.
▪︎Then add boiled black chickpeas in it and cook for 2 to 3 mins.
▪︎Add water ,boil it then cook for 5 more mins .
▪︎Add soaked rice in it and cook on high flame until water reduces.
▪︎Now add green chillies and yellow food color.
▪︎Cover and steam for 20 mins on low flame.
▪︎Yummy kala channa chicken pulao is ready to eat and served hot.
▪︎You can also serve it with salad and green chatni.
