Turkish Lokma :-
Ingredients:-
Dough:
▪Plain flour.................3 cups
▪Dry yeast................1 sachet (11 gm)
▪Sugar................2 tsp
▪Salt............1/2 tsp
▪Warm water.............2 cups + 3 tbsp or as required
▪Oil for frying
........................
Sugar syrup:-
▪Sugar.............2 cups
▪Water..............2 cups
▪Lemon juice..........1 tsp
▪Green cardamom.......2 pcs
Note:-
▪If you want lokmas crispy....You should be dip in sugar syrup for 15 sec.
Direction:-
Sugar syrup:
▪︎Mix sugar and water in a pot and bring it to boil.
▪︎Cook for 5 minutes then add lemon juice , green cardamom , cook for 1 to 2 mins and transfer in to any bowl.
Dough:
▪︎In a large bowl, add flour, sugar, salt, yeast and gradually add lukewarm water and mix it with a hand whisker to make a soft and sticky batter.
▪︎Cover the bowl with cling sheet and rest for 1 hour in a warm place until it doubles in size.
▪︎Heat the oil in a Pot. Take some dough in your hand and squeeze it . Dip a tablespoon in to little oil, drop the rounded shape of dough from hand into hot oil.
▪︎Fry it until golden brown .Repeat the same steps.
▪︎Transfer fried dough balls immediately into sugar syrup and leave it for 15 secs, If you want soggy then leave it for 10 mins.
▪︎Take them from syrup and serve warm.
