Chicken karela:-
Ingredients:-
▪Chicken............1 kg
▪Ginger garlic paste........1 tbsp
(Lehsun and adrak)
▪Bitter gourd..............1 & 1/2 kg
(Karela)
▪Onion .........3 large sized
(Pyaz)
▪Tomatoes........6 medium sized
(Tamatar)
▪Oil...........1 cup or as required
▪Salt..........1 tbsp + 1 tsp
(Namak)
▪Red chilli powder.....1 & 1/2 tsp
(Lal mirch)
▪Turmeric powder........1/2 tsp
(haldi)
▪Coriander powder.......2 tsp
(Dhania)
▪Whole spices powder......1/4 tsp
(Garam masala)
▪Cumin seeds........1 tsp
(Zeera)
▪Fresh coriander as required
(taza dhania)
Direction:-
▪︎Peel bitter gourds and Cut lengthwise,remove seeds and cut them.
▪︎Now sprinkle with 1 tbsp salt and mix well. Keep aside for 30 mins,Now wash very well with water.
▪︎In a wok, add 1 cup of oil ,then add small portion of bitter gourds in it, fry till golden brown,take out from oil and keep aside.
▪︎When bitter gourds are all fried ,then add onions(julienne cut) in it, saute it and separate some portion saute onion for later use and remaining onion fry till golden brown.
▪︎Then add ginger garlic paste,mix it and add chicken in it . Fry till its color is changed.
▪︎Add tomatoes, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, mix it well , Cover and cook on low flame until chicken tenders.
▪︎Now remove the lid, add in fried bitter gourd, sauted onion in it . Mix it, again cover and cook for 10 mins on low flame.
▪︎Now sprinkle whole spices powder, cumin seeds, Fresh coriander in it.
▪︎Yummy chicken karela is ready to eat and
serve hot with roti.
